I was born in Portsmouth – the United Kingdom’s only island city. One of my earliest memories is of grabbing a newspaper in the sitting room, and trying to ‘remember’ how to read.
My childhood was spent buried in history, news and fiction. For me, researching and digging up stories is one of the most fascinating and enjoyable things in the world.
As I’d always had a lot of interests I struggled to pick a career path. I had ambitions to be a journalist, so I studied Middle Eastern politics and economics before becoming a full-time carer to a family member.
With my love of theatre and film, I also dabbled with training as an actress, before deciding I was happier behind the camera. I started writing and blogging, which meant I needed photos!
So I came to photography from a storyteller’s point of view. I studied Digital Photography at the Open University in partnership with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), before undertaking ongoing training in off-camera lighting and editing. Currently I am aiming for my LRPS or Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society.
I want to help your brand or small business – whether it’s cosmetic, handbags or wax melts – stand out online with scroll-stopping visuals. I find the process exciting from the planning and editing. I am based in Portsmouth & on the Isle of Wight. Please take a look at my ‘Send & Shoot’ service here.
Although I class myself as a product photographer, I cross over into other exciting niches, like fashion and sport. One day I might be shooting photos for a product-based entrepreneur, then I’ll be documenting events or creating images that sell a lifestyle.
My dream is simply to work with inspiring people. Whether you are an influencer, an athlete, maker or writer, I want to capture the story and purpose behind your brand. If you want to improve your image content with professional, high-quality & fun photos then I’d love to hear from you.
